Hey, DC Fans! Hard to believe we've already reached the end of Mattel's DC Universe Classics retail line! Seems like only yesterday I was running to my local Toys R Us on an almost daily basis looking to add more of these awesome 6" figures to my collection - and now, it's all over!
But, don't dispear, 2012 still looks to be a great year for DC Fans! We have the upcoming Infinite Earth's club, offering us awesome figures like Golden Age Flash, the soon to be launched DC Universe All-Stars line, who's first wave looks like a winner thanks to LarFleeze and a re-release of Batman Beyond from DCUC Wave 4, and we also have the final DCUC Wave!
The Fwoosh
took a look at the 20th wave of DCUC figures - a Brightest Day themed wave - and it is said this wave has some of the best sculpting and paint of the entire series, with nice, tight joints to go along with it. The wave features some awesome figures - some of which, fans have been demanding for quite some time.
Included in this wave are:
Green Arrow (In his hooded costume)
Red Arrow (Based off the old Green Arrow figure)
Thaal Sinestro (Repainted slight retool of last summer's figure from the TRU exclusive Hal Jordan vs. Sinestro 2-pack)
Hawk (Hank Hall version)
Dove (Dawn Granger)
Reverse Flash (Eobard Thawne)
White Lantern Flash (Barry Allen)
and a scythless C&C Nekron!
Slated for release this spring, this wave, in my opinion, is the perfect send-off for this amazing series of figures! DC Universe Classics has had its ups and downs, but Mattel has outdone themselves with this final retail offering! Look for these figures in early 2012 and don't be upset DC Fans, we have a lot more plastic goodness coming our way from Mattel next year!... [
