Amazon, Japan is listing some new and updating some old Transformers: Dark of the Moon Novels (mostly for kids).
The site now lists the previously taken-down Transformers 3 books which helped us to uncover the title of the third movie for the first time in the world. Many entertainment websites praised TFW2005. Despite our happiness, we felt sad to see the product pages taken-down. Now the novels are back. It is clear that each book contains one particular scene from the movie. You can take a look at the three Kids Novels, after the jump. Cover of Readers’ Digest Transformers: Dark of the Moon Push-Pops book is also revealed along with the Mix & Match book. New entry just showed-up. It’s called Transformers Dark of the Moon - Annual 2012. Read on to check out the description. |

With the repeat airing of the latest episode of Transformers Prime came the trailer for this week's new episode. A figure from Arcee's past comes back to haunt her in the present. This new female Decepticon is the reported Airachnid, although she's not positively identified in the trailer. A little bonus tidbit coming from 2005 Boards member Secretcode - this new female Decepticon will apparently be voiced by Gina Torres of Firefly fame!
Check out the trailer, uploaded to Youtube by FanofTransformers, below: |

"Mercedes would never let us make their car into a bad Decepticon. Car company's really frown on that - I can't say what the game company and comics do that's their own thing. They don't have the same constraints movies do. It's Carly's car." Many Transformers Fans were saying that Decepticon Soundwave of Transformers: Dark of the Moon may have the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Vehicle Mode due to various stuff they have seen or heard. First, the car on set was seen driven by a man wearing black. Usually this means the stunt driver will get erased to make it look like the car is driving on its own. Soon, we heard about a Human Alliance Soundwave. HA figures are usually cars (Bumblebee, Jazz, Skids, Mudflap, Barricade, Sideswipe etc.) Then, the recent Transformers 3 Activision and High Moon Studios trailer and GDC Preview revealed Soundwave with a SUV Vehicle Mode similar to the above mentioned car. What do you think, is Soundwave, the SLS AMG or not? |

There may be trouble ahead if you're into those custom third party Transformers products - Japanese retailer Red Mercury reports that Takara Tomy have warned them not to sell any custom third party items, on grounds of copyright and trademark violation. Among the items that Red Mercury has canceled as a result are:
iGear Kup Head Set iGear Bee 01 Perfect Effect SFX Scouting Force X - Camera Set TFC Toys Primary School: Primars Head Robots Blood Crazy Devy CDMW-16 Crazy Devy CDMW-17 In other words, this appears to be a blanket ban of all third party custom items. So far, this is only affecting retailers based in Japan, so there should not be a problem with sellers based in the US or elsewhere in the world. We will continue to bring you updates on this news as they come to us. |

Botcon has sent out an interesting image on their Twitter account. It's another city Transformer, done in Animated style! This time out, we're seeing the Trypticon prison, based on the city mode of Generation 1 Trypticon. The image, a panel from this year's Botcon comic book no doubt, is very atmospheric, complete with a Cybertronian acid rain storm. And according to the posting "wait till you see the guards!"
Check out the full sized original artwork on Botcon's twitter account. |

The talented Marcelo Matere has shared some pencil work of Drag Strip from this year's Botcon set. The artwork is not inked or colored right now, so it might just be Arcee having a really bad day, but chances are, this is another look at the Botcon comic or bio card artwork. Check out the artwork on Marcelo's Instagram account.

Hasbro have posted their 2010 annual report, detailing their performance last year. Key points to take from this are, as helpfully picked out for us by 2005 Boards member and Hasbro shareholder influence82:
- Overall revenue was down in 2010 when compared to 2009, BUT operating profit was up, mostly due to lower taxes and depreciation. - Sales for Transformers and GI Joe products decreased, but this loss in revenue was offset by an increase in Nerf and Marvel sales, in particular Iron Man 2. One thing to remember from this - last year was a year without any form of Transformers fiction to drive sales. This year, we have Dark of the Moon and Transformers Prime to promote the brand, plus also to Hasbro's advantage there is Thor and Captain America: First Avenger hitting theaters this year. So while 2010 might have been a bit of a "down" year, 2011 has the makings of a very good year for Hasbro. |

Here's something fun for you - our first bit of Transformers Dark of the Moon merchandise has begun to hit shelves. It's a Dark of the Moon ring pop - a lollypop mounted on a ring you can wear on your finger as if you were a member of the candy treat lantern corps! It features Optimus Prime on the packaging and perhaps appropriately comes in "Berry Blast" flavor. It was spotted at the speedway in Sheridan, Indiana.
With this first bit of Dark of the Moon merchandise out, can more be far behind? The summer blockbuster merchandising juggernaut is coming, and its coming is being heralded by ring pops! |

Thanks to a loyal TFW2005 user who posted a news tip, we are almost there to crack the mystery of Linkin Park’s involvement with Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
In an unexpected turn of events, Burning In The Skies may not be the title song of Transformers 3. Official Linkin Park Website has been updated with a little Moon which you can click and listen to what is considered by the LP Fans at the moment to be the song featured in DOTM. Also, Joe Hahn of Linkin Park is giving away hints via his official Twitter account. This latest development indicate the new song to be Iridescent. The cryptic image on the website features the Autobot logo if you look carefully. TFW2005 - Awesome News! Awesome Fans!

Currently being distributed to retailers in Japan and beyond is information on this year's Tokyo Toy Show Exclusive item from Takara-Tomy. This year, Takara-Tomy will be offering a two pack of black repaints - a black War for Cybertron Optimus Prime and a black War for Cybertron Megatron. An image has been shared by famitoy and relayed to us by catz of our 2005 Boards, which shows off what the set will potentially look like - although the image specifies it is not the final product but just an illustration.
We will keep you updated on more details of this cool set when they become available. The price is as yet unconfirmed but is said to be "not that different compared to two United figures". |

TFW2005 recently had the opportunity to speak with Mike Costa and Livio Ramondelli, the team behind the upcoming Transformers CHAOS event taking place in the IDW G1 universe. In it, they let us know a little about what has happened, what may go down, and "Transformers 125" which seems to be oddly ENCRYPTED whenever it's mentioned.
Also attached to this interview are 6 pieces of art - the cover and 5 pages from CHAOS. IDW Transformers Editor Andy Schmidt let us know that after you guys and gals give this a read, if you have more questions, he would be happy to try and answer some. So post any thoughts or questions in the discussion thread here. We will round them up, send them to Andy, and post his responses when they come back! This is it, folks! The confirmation of Iridescent single for Transformers: Dark of the Moon came from none other than Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park himself.
Updating his Official Blog, Mr. Shinoda stated... "A few months ago, I got on the phone with Michael Bay, who wanted to discuss the possibility of our band continuing our run with songs paired with the Transformers films. We (he, his team, and our band) all have enjoyed working together on the past two, and he wanted to discuss the ideas we might have for Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon. In particular, one song came up immediately. Ever since we started playing Iridescent live, the song has been a fan favorite at the show. For the film, there’s a new, slightly shorter version of the song, which is floating around the internet now. We’ll be shooting a video for the song tomorrow, directed by Joe Hahn." You can listen to the song at SomeKindOfAwesome. |

The Transformers Collectors Club has sent out an email and tweeted on their new Twitter account about various things, including of most interest to those of us waiting, some hints at the planned preorder window for Animated Transtech Cheetor and Generation 2 Ramjet. In order not to interfere with the major religious holidays this month, the preorders will not go up until the last week of the month. A series of posts on Twitter followed, clarifying that this meant, "from Monday 25 April onwards". Another post on twitter also hints that the price will be consistent with previous deluxes, which ranged from $42-$59. It won't be as low as $42 but definitely won't be as high as $59, according to the post.
The email also mentions that the free Sideburn figures will be shipping out after Botcon. Like the picture attached to this post? It was posted on the new Transformers Collector's Club Twitter account. Talk about it here, or read on for the original text of the email talking about the release of the club exclusive toys. |

He might well be the last release in the Generations line - but Warpath makes sure the series will go out with a bang! Our Transformers Toy Galleries section has been updated with a gallery of this smooth final release (for the time being) in the Transformers Generations line. Warpath is a fantastic toy with a good, solid action figure styling and great sculpted in details. He's got a simple transformation which works extremely well in his favor - and a cool automorph head reveal as well. All in all, this is a worthy update to Warpath that embodies the true spirit of the classics series.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I'll stop singing Warpath's praises here and direct you to the gallery, which has over 70 pictures documenting all that is awesome about Warpath. Warpath - Transformers Generations Autobots |

It is mid-April, and no sign of a trailer yet. But to keep the excitement running, here’s a little news about something relating to the Michael Bay Transformers Live Action Movie Series Trailers. It’s the Logo we see at the end of the Announcement Trailer.
You guys may have noticed how similar the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Logo appeared when compared with the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Trailer (You know, the one with the Decepticon insignia exploding and revealing the title). Well, that’s because both sequences were done by the same company. Imaginary Forces creative studio and production company says… “Paramount asked us once again to create a dynamic Transformers main title reveal, this time for the upcoming Transformers: Dark of The Moon, which will be shown in 3D. We designed the main title and the end animation sequence for this teaser, and collaborated with ILM to make sure everything integrated seamlessly. The idea was to enter the Transformer’s eye and to find out what lies behind it. IF director Ronnie Koff takes us on a journey through the macro level of a mechanical, yet organic architectural landscape of nanotechnology resolving into the logotype.” Speaking of the “Transformers 3 Announcement Trailer”… There’s this whole conspiracy stuff behind it. Read what producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura had to say about the subject after the jump. |

The site is bright and colorful with lots of info about their upcoming products. The site is still under construction, which is why we can’t access pages such as Transformers: Dark of the Moon DA-12 Air Raid (but the image is online on another site though). You’ll also find info about other Transformers products such as Card Games, not just toy figures. Take a look at the new Takara-Tomy Official Transformers Products Website here. |

This day just keeps getting better and better for Transformers: Dark of the Moon Fans.
We had trailer dates revealed by Mr. Michael Bay himself. Then a promo image of Sentinel Prime and now this… a new Transformers Dark Of The Moon Banner revealed featuring Optimus Prime. The banner was posted at ComingSoon.net along with an interview with Michael Bay. "This one is a more mature storyline, definitely darker, more emotional in the end. You feel the stakes are higher because it takes place in an American city. You're not disconnected with Egypt and the pyramids. I'm very happy with the movie," [Bay] says, touching lightly on the story we can expect to see. "It's a small group and you follow them. There's no cavalry coming. I've said this with Ehren, we were talking about concept, we used the term 'Black Hawk Down .' We try to make the cavalry unable to come. And it's more fun to watch our heroes in this epic ending with just a small group. It makes it more intimate." Bay is hesitant to call the film "bigger," but everything we witnessed moments later in the Paramount theater screams "huge" (although we do understand what Bay meant story-wise). Of the nearly 20 minutes of footage shown to us (with an extra five shown in 3D), it's clear Bay is taking the series to new heights in every respect. Unfortunately, we're not allowed to go into details, but we will say, it's merciless. Read the rest of the article here. Download the Banner in all its glory, here (2MBs). |

It’s non-stop Transformers: Dark of the Moon action happening right here at TFW2005.
This time we have another article by HitFix. You are warned… Spoilers! "There was certainly an emphasis on introducing Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to us through a number of clips that played up the relationship between Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and Carly (Huntington-Whiteley). When she ends up trapped in Chicago after it's been taken over by Decepticons, Sam has to go into the city to find her, setting off what looks like one of the wildest series of scenes that Bay's ever orchestrated, and he was given unprecedented access to the city's resources to help stage his invasion. The result is a sense of urban chaos that I've never seen staged on this scale. And "scale" seems to be a big word for this film. We saw battle sequences set on the home planet of the Transformers. We saw a crazy accident on the moon, and we saw what happens when all the robots scattered there by that accident finally wake up. We saw a jaw-dropping sequence involving soldiers jumping out of a transport over the city and using cutting-edge flight suits to glide down to the ground, racing between buildings as they do. We saw a piece of a scene involving an attack on a skyscraper where the Decepticons appear to saw an entire building in half using a giant sandworm-looking robot that burrows deep into the building while the human heroes struggle to find a way to ride it out in the upper half of the building. … looks like things get very personal for Sam in this one, and like he's learned some new tricks that help even the odds when he has to face the Decepticons. We saw a chunk of an alley fight between Starscream and Sam in which Sam reveals that he's been given some new weaponry, including a grapping gun glove of sorts that seems fairly effective." For many months, Michael Bay Transformers Live Action Movie Fans were in deep depression. Why? It was because of the lack of news regarding the upcoming movie; Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Arguments broke out of nowhere, tension was running high and every time a new convention like Cinemacon or a Movie Award show goes live, fans were disappointed even further. New movie trailers for various movies such as Captain America, Fast Five and Thor were shown but not much of anything relating to Transformers 3.
Everything changed yesterday… everything. Michael Bay invited journalists to take a sneak peek look at what some called, this writer heard, as the greatest Bay movie yet. Tons of articles showed-up on the Interweb (as Jeremy Clarkson would call it) filled with spoilers. TFW2005 Members shared these articles with their fellow members with great happiness. As we thank our dear members, now it’s time to round these articles into a one big post. Feel free to add more articles to the thread connecting this News Post and we will add them to the News Post itself. Take a look at the articles from around-the-world, after the jump. |

There is a new video up at MTV called “Mike Shinoda Explains Why 'Iridescent'' Was Chosen For 'Transformers 3' Soundtrack”.
In the video, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park tells us the tale of their involvement with the third movie. "We loved that part of it when we were in the studio, but Michael actually loved pairing it with the movie because there's something that he feels it speaks to about the story line." says Mr. Shinoda. "The 'Transformers' collaboration has been really fun for us. I mean, we grew up playing with the toys. When we first got approached on the first one, we said yes based on the idea of taking that thing that we loved so much and bringing it to life in a modern way. As it's gone on, that's still a big part of it for us." Transformers: Dark of the Moon releasing July 1st, 2011. |

Yesterday by this time, we were bombarded with new info about Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
It all happened because of an interview session with the director Michael Bay. There are lots of articles about the meet-up circulating out there. But, this particular article caught our attention. Peter Sciretta of Slash Film has written the complete interview Bay had with the journalists… every single word. “There’s a scene where she’s kidnapped and they go to Chicago, which they find at morning it’s been obliterated and surrounded by alien ships, and they’re kind of…he’s taking a small little group in to try to get her back. Then there’s the group of guys trying to come in and join some of our heroes on the ground. They’re kind of doing a conversion…they’re trying to sneak in low. They try to put some air power over here to distract the ships. There’s a scene where they’ve got some new robot tech…there’s like a cute character in the movie, a transformer, an autobot, and he’s invented this device, alien in nature, he’s given it to Shia. He gives him two things, like a stick bomb and this kind of grapple glove thing. And then we go to…there’s a section in a building where they’ve gone in and broken… a lot of buildings have been broken and shot up.” What you just read is a sample. Read the complete interview at Slash Film. Don’t say we didn’t warn you… Spoilers! |

Comics Continuum have posted the covers and synopses for July's two installments of the Transformers Ongoing series, 21 and 22, plus the cover to the trade paperback collecting issues 13-18. Issue 21 kicks off the road to Chaos, and to say any more would involve spoilers! Issue 22 has a very cool cover, and is the first James Roberts penned issue in the lead up to Chaos, with art by Alex Milne. You can see Issue 22's cover to the left - be warned, issue 21's cover can be considered to have some spoilers!
Speaking of issue 21, you can check out the lineart for the Guido Guidi cover on his Deviant Art account. Again, beware of the spoilers! Read on for the synopses - need I warn you again to watch out for the spoilers? |

MSN TV have posted up a brief summary of Transformers Prime episode 15, Shadowzone. Mix in the kids and a Groundbridge malfunction plus a surprise appearance, and what do you get?
Be warned there's a spoiler in that description so don't click on that link unless you're okay with knowing about a certain character turning up. Spoiler summary given below, blacked out, for the curious: Kids are trapped in an alternate dimension with a reanimated Skyquake in the middle of a GroundBridge failure. |
